The Royal College of Pathologist hosted again this year the International Pathology Day, on November 13th 2019, with the participation of people all over the world.

The International Pathology Day is a one day-conference in partnership with The Pathologist magazine, Sonic Healthcare UK and Visiopharm, to bring together a global audience getting involved in pathology-related activities. The theme of this year event was the advance in rapid and point-of-care diagnostic testing.

It was an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the contribution and the important role played by pathology and laboratory medicine services in addressing global health challenges and improving the health outcomes of communities around the world.

During the meeting the participants attended a roundtable discussion focused on the theme ‘a question of quality.’

Dr Wale Atoyebi, Clinical Lead for the ARISE programme on behalf of the College, participated in the discussion and took the occasion to present the ARISE project and its objectives.

Further information about the event is available here.

Looking forward to celebrating the International Pathology Day in 2020!
