Hello, I’m Paulo da Silva Biologist from Angola, performing my sencondment in Lisbon at Escola Superior de Tecnologia da Saúde de Lisboa (Portugal).
I had an incredible experience during isoelectric focusing training, organized in Lisbon by Perkin Elmer in the aim of ARISE project, a technique that can be used in the laboratory for the identification of different hemoglobin variants, thus allowing the detection of hemoglobinopathies.
The knowledge obtained will be of great importance, as it will allow me to apply it to the screening of hemoglobinopathies in Angola.
