The Annual Scientific Conference on Sickle Cell and Thalassemia (ASCAT) 2022 conference successfully completed a 3-day conference from 26th—28th January 2022.
Oxbryta received CHMP positive opinion for SCD
The Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use at the EMA adopted a positive opinion recommending marketing authorization for Oxbryta® for the treatment of haemolytic anaemia due to sickle cell disease (SCD) in patients 12 years of age and older as monotherapy or in combination with hydroxycarbamide.

The article “Newborn screening for sickle cell disease in Africa” has been published on the Lancet Haematology journal.It is focused on the newborn screening (NBS) for Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) just launched in Zambia.
